Eurosoft xCut: laser automation suite

Laser and more

Based on the solid ECP1000 Linux platform, the new xCut suite from Eurosoft is proposed as a reference solution for the thermal cutting sector. ECP1000 for over 10 years has been a highly appreciated reference point for the cutting industry in its many variants (Plasma, Oxy, Waterjet, Laser, Mechanical formers) xCut is applying for the specific sector of laser cutting (and all hybrid technologies).

ECP1000

The ECP1000 platform was born and grew in the name of flexibility, allowing to realize machines of heterogeneous typologies without the necessity to carry out software developments to the variation of configurations This was possible because ECP1000 has been used by numerous manufacturers operating in special machine sectors, They helped to boost the development of a powerful and highly configurable system.
Being possible the ECP1000 can also be used on laser machines, xCut is a very interesting development for the specific field of laser application in addition to the customary configurability, many requests from the industry have been met and the user interface has been set up in the most appropriate way to meet the expectations of modern users with the possibilities of touch screen systems of use now pervasive.
The micro cad/cam integrated in the product has also been enhanced, making it possible to use the system even as offline programs for machine programming.
Very felt need in small production companies and in all those contexts where it is necessary to be able to produce parts very quickly without going through the technical office.
The result is excellent, all information at your fingertips, modern and intuitive look with contextual information and simple interpretation.
For applications that are extremely demanding in terms of dynamics xCut is also available with the feed rate optimized xStar planning platform which allows to work with limited jerk without back filters, in this mode it is possible to grow extremely significantly in the dynamics of the machine without producing stress on the mechanical parts of the machine.

This technology is very well suited for the creation of complex parts, such as artistic drawings, where it is essential to maintain the optimum cutting speed without introducing vibrations. Please refer to www.xstarmotion.com for details, on xCut the xStarMotion optimization technology. Implemented as an integrated server in the NC and does not require installation of additional hardware.

Function xCut laser

Micro cad-cam integrated with frequently used parametric figures, def/dwg format design interpreters, multi plane and multi piece nesting, automatic lead-in lead-out management and cutting sorting;

Total user-based configurability (as required by recent regulations not yet in force) with regard to access to configuration/work parameters, Ability to assign each individual part of the interface to the user level in order to allow a simplified user interface for the executive operators;

User interface configurability through style sheets to allow the manufacturer to significantly and easily customize the graphic appearance;

Cutting technology database with on-the-fly parameter modification capabilities preserving manufacturer's default values;

Piercing management for phases and ramps (focal/duty/power/stand off);

Distinction between the material name (as it may be derived from production management with industry 4.0) and the cutting process in order to avoid the unnecessary proliferation of cutting tables and consequent repetition of configuration parameters;

Parameter management that can be linked to the user, thus allowing requests for different parameters related to the preferences of the shift user;

Smart log parameters of cutting;

Fly cut with micro second precision (equivalent to 1 micron at a cutting speed of 60 meters/min;

PLC/ pre-wired user interface for Raytools/ Precitech/ HiYag cutting heads and IPG/ Raycus laser sources;

Automatic zero point sheet management;

Real-time collision management by laser head sensor and dynamic analysis of the capacitive sensor signal;

Embedded IP camera in user interface pages;

Automatic pallet change management

xCut - I/O BOX Ethercat

The Ethercat® master based on ESI standards allows the use of any type of input / output card. The optimized I / O box is also available, which combines in addition to 24 digital inputs and 24 digital outputs also analog I/O and synchronous PWM for the optimized management of the fly cut. The box provides an extremely competitive solution in terms of costs, compared to a solution based on commercial modules, allowing you to have on a single I/O module everything you need to create a laser machine.

OPC-UA

In addition to the frontier tables for the implementation of Industry 4.0, XCUT has an integrated and pre-configured OPC-UA server that can be used as an alternative mode. OPC-UA is a widely used standard in the implementation of Industry 4.0.

INDUSTRY 4.0 e 5.0

Using the xCut platform in 4.0/5.0 contexts is extremely simple both by using SQL frontier tables (integrating the system with the machine management platform) either by the specific revolution 4.0 software that allows to manage the scheduling of work and the return of data autonomously in those contexts where integration with the management system is not possible.
